Now in its 11th year, the SACS Leadership Awards have seen SACS contribute more than $450,000 to the professional development of leaders within the community sector.
Established to recognise examples of true leadership, the continued success of the awards and ongoing support from the sectors involved reflects their commitment to their people. Over the ten years there have been over 500 nominations and more than 3000 guests attend the Awards dinners and show their appreciation and recognise these nominees.
As we enter the second decade of the Awards, we expand the sector focus to include the Disability and Aged Care sectors. These areas have seen strong growth and, as they continue to prosper, we hope to see recognition of the emerging leaders in this space.

A true leader is someone who displays behaviours that change the experiences of colleagues and stakeholders, and which inspire people to follow their example and guidance and to innovate and improve things themselves.
If you have answered Yes to all of the above, then we feel that you have someone worthy of recognition.
The 2016 SACS Leadership Awards will be awarded to leaders in the following sectors:
Within each of the three sectors there are two categories for nomination:
Executive – this person is an established leader operating at either 1st, 2nd or 3rd level within an organisational hierarchy.
Non-Executive – this person is in a leadership role that is operating at 4th level or below within an organisational hierarchy.
The submissions must include:
Executive nomination criteria
Non-executive nomination criteria
Please note, nominations are to be submitted to SACS Consulting, where they will be confidentially distributed to the appropriate Leadership Victoria judging panelists.
The winner for each category will receive a prize of $7,500 to be awarded to the organisation employing the leader. The money will be used to foster and develop leadership ability within the organisation and it will be up to the successful leader to decide how the funds are deployed.
Leadership Victoria (LV) will provide a $500 LV voucher for each of the two finalists in each of the 6 categories to be put towards any of their programs.
We are once again pleased to partner with Leadership Victoria in the running of these awards, of which they remain an independent partner who evaluate submissions against the criteria.
