There is an ever-increasing need for organisations to continuously and diligently shape their workforce to ensure it can deliver organisational objectives not just now but also in the future.
SACS has developed a proprietary, structured model to assist organisations in developing a workforce plan that integrates with the strategic framework of your organisation, and aligns HR strategies to ensure you always hire the right people.
The SACS workforce planning model consists of three stages:
- Analysis of the current situation: We map out the competencies and skills of existing staff members in order to define succession paths. This includes determining benchmark information, environmental factors, demographics and skill gaps.
- Analysis of the desired situation: We identify the competencies necessary to achieve the strategic objectives of the organisation. This includes a close study of the strategic outlook, future staffing structure modelling, commercial dimensions and financial implications of the future workforce.
- Development of a HR strategy: Based on the current situation and the desired outcome, we develop a human resource strategy designed to achieve the desired state. This includes consideration of training, hiring, graduate programs, internships, volunteers and succession planning.
