Defining job roles based on outcomes requires identifying roles by their “Real World Outcomes” (RWOs) and the essential skills needed to attain these outcomes.
The idea behind RWOs is to ensure that job definitions encompass the key outcomes that clearly define the purpose of the role.
We have provided a proforma which you can use to undertake interviews to build outcome-based job definitions.
We have also provided a learning kit, including a link to a brief explainer video about the process and some practical examples of RWOs and core competencies.
