Adding in a candidate and sending them assessments

One of the first things you’ll want to do when using our online portal is set up a candidate.

We’ve created a walkthrough of that process, including adding candidates, applying assessment groups, resending invitations and cancelling candidates.

How to set up a candidate in the online portal

Hi there, it’s Jade from SACS, here to show you how to set up candidates.

Very straightforward, you’ve got the option here on our home page or on the left hand side toolbar, set up candidates.

When we talk about your saved groups, they’re assessment groups which have been created specifically for your organisation.

For this example I’ll select our intermediate assessment work-worded, and so we can see that this is a personality and values only assessment, which includes three additional measures automatically.

We click select.

Required candidate details

All you need is the candidate’s first name, last name and email address.

The position field is optional if you would like to record what role it is that they’re being considered for you can do so.

You’re able to add multiple candidates by selecting that add button, and if you are doing a bulk recruitment drive you can download a CSV template.

Again the only mandatory fields in that template are first name, last name and email address, and you can bulk import candidates to be set up if it’s more than 10. Click on next, and this is where you have the remaining additional measures available to you.

So, for example, if you would like an understanding of the candidate’s level of resilience in the workplace, simply select the measure.

You’ll see that add to the total credit cost.

Confirming candidates

In terms of the confirmation page, a couple of things to bring to your attention.

If you think that you would like to use that assessment in future, you can save the assessment combination, and so what we might title it here is the intermediate assessment work-worded plus resilience.

And that’s added automatically for you.

We can see the candidate details are correct, we’ve got a green tick which is great.

Issues with candidates

A red cross would indicate that perhaps the candidate has existing results with SACS.

Please get in touch with us if that is the case.

You’ll have the credits information, in terms of the cost and what your balance will be after purchase.

And the final thing for you to do is to acknowledge the disclaimer, and this is in relation to not providing a copy of the report to the candidate or candidates.

This is in relation to our ethical obligations.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to come to us at SACS.

We can liaise with the candidate directly if that’s the case.

Finishing the set up

Click on the finish button and that will go ahead and set up the candidate automatically and send the invitation to them.

We’ll now see here that the candidate has been set up, and this is within the candidate details section.

In this section you’ve got the ability to send reminder emails, so if it has been a few days, you would like to send them a gentle reminder, simply click on that invitation link to resend the assessment.

If the candidate, for whatever reason, withdraws from the process, and they haven’t commenced any of the links they’ve been sent, simply click on this cancel assessments button. That will cancel the assessments and reimburse the credits straight back into your account.
